In a classroom environment, or where raspberry pie is used as a thin client, a configuration system is essential because a large number of raspberry pies need to be configured.

Both of the above are Linux systems for Raspbian. How to manage and prepare raspberry pie if you run Windows 10 IoT Core? As an established manufacturer of operating systems, Microsoft naturally won't let it be missing for too long. The answer is as broad and profound as Shaolin's SCCM (). Of course, Shaolin is now all over the world, just as you can use the SCCM+InTune cloud service ().

Strictly speaking, Windows 10 IoT Core, like 1% Windows 10 Mobile in Nishishan and Holographic in MR Sunrise East, are devices running Windows 10 systems. under the unified framework of UWP, many features and configurations are not much different from the Windows 10 two-in-one notebook I am writing. As a result, the management of Windows 10 IoT Core is almost equivalent to the management of Windows 10 Mobile.

The management of mobile devices generally requires two-way verification of the identity of the management server and the mobile device, which can avoid identity forgery or middleman. We already know that SCCM can push compliance configurations to various devices such as Windows, Windows Phone, Windows Mobile, iPhone, iPad, Mac OS X, and Android, so it is not difficult to use SCCM for certificate distribution.

While SCCM is mostly aimed at online devices, how to complete these configurations in the system initialization phase? For the traditional way, we have operating system deployment methods such as OSD/MDT, while for mobile devices, we can use WICD (Windows Imageing and Configuration Designer), which is included in Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (commonly known as Windows ADK or WADK).

For predefined configurations, you can modify the installation image directly, or you can make a "Provisioning Package". Taking importing CA certificate trust as an example, you can import the Profile generated by SCCM into the WICD wizard to generate a preparation installation package.

When you are finished, export the installation package * .ppkg file, return to the raspberry pie running Windows 10 IoT Core, copy it to the C:\ Windows\ Provisioning\ Packages directory, and restart the raspberry pie to automatically execute the configuration.
