2. Prepare before installation

Vmware software, this tutorial does not involve the installation of vmware, Baidu.

3. Installation and configuration

With vmware installed, double-click GNS3 VM.ova. Click Import, and the following effect appears.

Turn on the virtual machine, show the following effect picture, and record the ip address in it. The operation in this vm is completed, and other information can be learned by yourself. This address is used to enter the server configuration and add the ip address of the vm iou.

Install gns3, double-click the gns3 installation package, and the following screen will appear to select local gns3 vm. There will be an installation wizard to choose vmware parameters to set by yourself, next can be checked casually, the first two I checked, ios and iou ios wizard, select gns3 vm to add ios image, image file on Baidu, next next next choose the corresponding board, next until finish. The wizard, which can be skipped, is configured the same from the preferences. The following is the iou wizard or gns3 vm upload the corresponding iou image, the image file on its own Baidu. Enter preferences for configuration, enter server configuration, and add the ip address of vm iou. Add the iourc file to ios on unix, as shown in the figure. Just apply ok. Other image files are the same as the original addition of gns3.
