For a long time, I have always thought that although Sharepoint technology is very popular in China, there should not be many successful projects in China. I think on the one hand, my criteria for judging the success of the project may be higher. I have been studying Sharepoint technology, knowing that Sharepoint technology can help enterprises solve a lot of problems, but for a variety of reasons, even document management will not be done well in actual Sharepoint projects, let alone data integration and analysis that are more helpful to enterprises. On the other hand, I think the reason why the project is not successful has a lot to do with the failure to find a suitable entry point. Customers only know that Sharepoint is very powerful, and technicians also know this, but when it comes to solving the practical problems of the enterprise, it may not be the same thing, so I have the above point of view. Of course, my view is more or less one-sided. in fact, even if customers only use the functions of the portal when using sharepoint, if the structure is reasonable and the content is well organized, we should think that this is a successful case, after all, it really solves part of the customer's problem.

In view of the above reasons, after I went to work in an enterprise, the first thing I did was to build an enterprise environment using virtualized Hyper_V and quickly deploy a Sharepoint test environment. The only problem I solved was to enable everyone to collaborate at the document level through this platform. In fact, the most basic need to meet is the upload and sharing of manual reports. Each statistician uploads the daily report to the folder of the designated document library, and then needs the various managers of the report to view it directly on the internal office sharepoing platform, and then I do not make greater efforts on sharepoint, because I know that for a new company, due to the management's understanding of information technology and computer proficiency, it is impossible to have higher requirements.

For a production-oriented enterprise, in the process of human and property management, material management is the most urgent place of information demand. The company produces all kinds of products every day, and warehousing management such as in and out of warehouse is very important. if this is not done well, it will directly lead to the delay of delivery. this will have a serious negative impact on sales in order-based production companies; second, it is prone to confusion, the characteristics of the industry determine that our products should be strictly managed to batches, different batches of products can not be mixed. Third, due to the limited storage capacity and a large number of product types and batches, manual accounts simply can not meet the needs of management, the storekeeper is simply unable to effectively find the stacking location of products in the warehouse, seriously affecting the efficiency of delivery.

Based on the above reasons, I think the starting point of the informatization of our enterprise should be to build a simple inventory management system first. Therefore, we spent nearly half a year to do an inventory management system, and integrated into the Sharepoint office environment, said that the inventory management system, in fact, to put it bluntly is an inventory ledger, the work that the storekeeper has to do is to input the receipts in the warehouse management process, such as in and out of the warehouse, transfer orders, transfer orders, and so on, into the system one by one, and the work of inventory management is considered to be completed.

Due to the full consideration in the early stage of development, we put forward relatively strict requirements for the information that needs to be filled in various documents, so that our small inventory account can make a variety of analysis for the business decisions of the enterprise. Inventory system in the office platform only provides inventory management (storekeeper level) necessary input and query functions, all the results, only write the corresponding query view in the database, do not need a page, only through the Excel Service PivotTable, completed all the report design and release work, this is what I have always believed that the sharepoint product is the most valuable place for the enterprise.

At present, our inventory system not only makes inventory management clear, so that all employees (mainly business personnel from other places) can check our real-time inventory online at any time, including the number of available batches of which products and how much they have been sealed by which salesman, eliminating all inventory inquiries in the production department, but more importantly, through the entry of simple documents. We can clearly analyze:

1. Daily production situation (in fact, the report of production input to the warehouse, the quantity per day and the cumulative quantity)

2. Cumulative shipments of products (real-time sales data)

3. Product sales ranking (ranking of monthly cumulative shipments), from which we can see which products are the best-selling and which products are sold directly, which is convenient for timely and targeted adjustment of sales policy and production organization.

4. according to the sales situation in different regions, check the sales volume from the point of view of sales division, so as to find the problems in sales management.

5. Salesman sales ranking, ranking the cumulative sales volume of each salesman in order to spur and encourage accordingly

6. Analyze the shipments of dealers, analyze the shipments from the point of view of dealers, and fully control the situation of picking up goods from various dealers.

7. Inventory liquidity analysis, inventory overstocking cause analysis, small inventory composition.

If you add in the misarranged reports, as well as the various forms of reports used by the storekeeper, such as inventory, reconciliation, and so on, I have made more than 30 reports based on our simple inventory management, it is not difficult to see that, as long as the management of sales documents before leaving the warehouse, this simple inventory management system can be immediately expanded into a small purchase, sale and storage system, and our dozens of reports above There is no page-level development, full use of Sharepoint's own Excel Service features, I have always wondered what kind of development should be done on Sharepoint, maybe this is what I think is the right answer.

The picture below shows the inventory liquidity analysis I made by manually screening the data through the existing production and sales reports. Although the process is very complicated, after all, the sources of all the data come from the inventory account of our inventory management system, which only needs to simply enter all kinds of documents, which can be done, so that the leaders can be very clear about the current situation of the material flow of the company. I think that even if we have really solved a big problem, our Sharepoint environment has played its due role, and I can also think that I have found a starting point for the application of sharepoint technology in my company.
