Open Server Manager, click manage, and select add roles and functions

Select a role-based or feature-based installation, next

Select local server, next step

In the server role, select the Windows Server update service and click add function

Select the built-in database WID, next step

Select the storage location of the download update folder, and next

This interface remains the default, next step

Web server role service, just keep it by default. Next step

To confirm the installation selection, click install

Installation is complete, close this interface

At this point, the WSUS role has been installed, and we now give the Network Service account full control of the Temporary ASP.NET Files folder

Open Explorer, navigate to C:\ Windows\ Microsoft.NET\ Framework\ v4.0.30319, then right-click the Temporary ASP.NET Files folder and select Properties

Click Advanced in the Security Properties bar

Click add option

Click to select the subject

In enter the name of the object you want to select, enter Network Server, and click check name

Select account

Give full control

Click OK to exit
