The steps to create a group and add a group member in ActiveDirectory are as follows:

Step 1, log in to the domain controller as a system administrator, open the ActiveDirectory users and computers window, and select the domain name (such as msserver.com.cn) in the left pane. Then select the "Action" → "New →" menu command, as shown in figure 1.

Step 2, open the New object-Group dialog box and enter the name of the created group (such as JinshouzhiUsers) in the Group name edit box. Then select the Global check box in the Group scope area, and select the Security groups check box in the Group Type area. Click the OK button, as shown in figure 2.

Tip: groups can be divided into "security groups" and "distribution groups", and each type of group can be given a different scope, that is, "local", "global" and "universal".

Step 3, select the Users container in the ActiveDirectory users and computers window, and then double-click the group name (such as JinshouzhiUsers) in the right pane to open the JinshouzhiUsers Properties dialog box. Switch to the members tab, click the add → Advanced → find now button. Select multiple user accounts in the user list and click OK continuously to complete the addition of group members, as shown in figure 3.

Tip: users can also right-click the user account in the ActiveDirectory users and computers window and select the add to Group command to add group members.

Step 4, switch to the belonging tab, click the add → Advanced → find now button. Select the upper-level group (such as Administrators, system administrators group) in the list of users, and click the OK → OK button, as shown in figure 3.

Step 5, switch to the Manager tab, click the change → Advanced → find now button. Select an administrator account for the group in the list of users, and click the OK → OK button to return to the Manager tab. Select the administrators can update the member list check box, and then click the OK button to close the JinshouzhiUsers Properties dialog box, as shown in figure 4.
