The full name of ISO in Chinese is "International Organization for Standardization". The new revision will replace the current translation in three years.

The new revision of ISO9001 will include a single quality system standard. It indicates that ISO9001 will apply to all organizations. It will involve the following four parts: management responsibilities, resource management, process management, measurement, analysis and improvement. This part of resource management is brand new, and the other parts contain new projects. The new revision will include all the old requirements and add additional management requirements, process management requirements, process measurement and improvement requirements.

ISO/iec 's recognition of standard testing laboratories and its prescribed authority standards include ISO guidelines 25, 58, 61, 62 and 65. ISO/iec Guide 58 defines the requirements for accredited standards and inspection laboratories. ISO/iec Guide 61 specifies the requirements for approved product certification and quality system registrants. ISO/iec Guide 62 defines the requirements for the quality system. ISO/iec Guide 65 defines the requirements for product certification. ISO/iec guidance is used to assess the consistency of products and services. Differences in national recognition requirements are regulated by international and regional recognition cooperation organizations. In order to shorten the process of conformance assessment of telecommunications facilities and other proofed products, a Mutual recognition Agreement (mras) has been developed, which will shorten and reduce the time and cost of obtaining product and quality system certification.

ISO9000 certification requires an operational quality system consistent with ISO9001, a successful and independent assessment made by the registered body. In order to maintain certification, registered bodies are required to conduct a supervisory evaluation every 6 or 12 months and a comprehensive reassessment every 3 years.

Versions of the ISO9000 series after version 2000 incorporate 9002 and 9003 into the ISO9001:2000 standard. So only ISO9001,ISO9002 and ISO9003 have retired from the stage of history. ISO9004 is a performance improvement guide, not for certification, but only for comprehensive performance improvement guidance within the organization.
