Configure the Windows Server 2008 server as a router and use the ping command to test whether the client of network A can communicate with the client of network B. Turn off the Windows firewall on the three computers first because it blocks packets sent by the ping command. Because we have not enabled the routing function of the Windows Server 2008 server, the two clients are currently unable to communicate.

Enable the Windows Server 2008 router

1. Open Server Manager and click add role.
