AP addition and replacement of large classroom of Huawei J area training Center

Project background:

There are three large classrooms in Huawei J area training Center (1L43Magne1L44Power1L45). Each classroom originally had 8 AP6010,AP with insufficient number and poor performance, which could not support the successful holding of Huawei operator BG conference. Each classroom needs to add AP and replace it with high-performance models.

Specific requirements:

Each classroom has 300 people attending the Huawei operator BG conference. Each participant needs to use their mobile phone to open a live video with a code stream of 360p, upload short videos and comment interactions at the end of the meeting, each person has a bandwidth of about 4m, and make each AP as balanced as possible, so it is also necessary to enable the mobile terminal to roam well.

Solution:

The original AP6010 in each classroom is all replaced by AP5030, and 5 are added, for a total of 13 AP (why deploy 13, because only 13 channels are available for 5G channels), 4 2.4G channels (1dhow 6d11, 13) and 13 5G channels (36, 40, 44, 48, 52, 56, 60, 64, 149,153,157,161,165) are all used. In fact, of the open 5G&2.4G channels in the corner of the four classrooms, the other nine only open 5G channels, and all of them are staggered.

Implementation process:

1. Follow the electronic flow to the leader to apply for the detailed project plan of AP transformation. (similar to the OA process of other companies)

2. Communicate and discuss with the R & D department and revise the scheme for many times, and finally decide to adopt 13 AP, the classroom four corners AP open 2.4g to 5G, the rest only open 5G channel.

3. Apply for 80 AP5030 and a 5700 POE switch through the electronic flow. (all the equipment are Huawei products, and they all follow the internal ordering process.)

4. Submit the application for small-scale rectification by electronic stream, and the small-scale rectification is the construction side of Huawei's cooperation.

5. Due to the addition of a new AP, the original IP address is not enough, so the IP address is replanned and more than 50 fixed IP are applied by electronic flow. (Huawei is relatively standardized, and IP addresses are managed by a special platform.)

6. after the electronic flow of the small-scale rectification and reform has been approved by the leaders at various levels, communicate with the small-scale rectification and reform the construction time and construction details.

7. The day before the construction, the electronic flow of the renewal application shall be submitted and approved by the leader, and the construction will be carried out together with the small-scale rectification construction party at 10:00 the next night.

8, because the original network cable is not enough, first arrange small rectification and put 13 new network cables in each classroom in advance, the original AP will not go offline first.

9. I first study the network topology of the three classrooms in the training center. According to the Huawei whatsup topology map (whatsup is used internally by Huawei to draw the network topology diagram, and can also monitor the up and down of the equipment), I also draw some sketches on my hand, and then use the excel table to write the configuration that needs to be used first, including AP registration, AP number, RF, channel, roaming threshold, and switch VLAN information, port description information. Do a good job of preparation before construction.

10. On the night of the construction, I was very nervous. When the builders unloaded the original AP6010 and laid out the AP5030, I brushed the pre-written AP configuration to the AC in the background. When I saw the AP coming online one by one, I slowly breathed a sigh of relief. Of course, there were a lot of AP "normal". It turned out that the VLAN on the big aggregation switch 9303 did not open, and after applying for a plaintext password to log in to the core equipment, I logged in to open the VLAN. Individual AP just normal up, of course, there are some how to do normal can not get up, until the next day to arrange the construction staff, to the AP crystal head to do a new AP before normal up.

11. The newly deployed AP has all worked normally. It has been tested and adjusted hundreds of times with computers and mobile phones in the classroom for two days before finally adjusting the signal strength and roaming threshold of AP.

12. When the operator BG conference is held, we also need to ensure the wireless network stability of the conference, and observe the number of AP connections (including 2.4G and 5G) and the load traffic of each AP in the background, generate a report and send it to the leader.

13. Finally, this solution is a meeting that can support such a large-scale high-density scenario, and it takes about half a month from takeover to project delivery.
