Google uploads some apps on Samsung Galaxy Store

Google took the seemingly odd step of uploading two apps, Google Translate and WearOS, to Samsung's own Galaxy Store. According to SamMobile, this collaboration is likely to continue in the future as more apps are added to the Galaxy Store.

Instead, Samsung's own software has been available on Google's Play Store for quite some time, including Samsung Health, SmartThings, Galaxy wealth and more. That makes sense, because Samsung wants consumers outside its ecosystem to still be able to use their wearables with phones from other brands.

One possible explanation for why Google apps appear in the Galaxy Store could be screenshots of the apps above-especially WearOS. The interface in the picture appears to be in Chinese, suggesting Google is trying to appeal to Chinese consumers.

On the other hand, WearOS and Google Translate simply won't work without Google Play installed on the device, and China still can't access the latter. It all seems futile, but the only alternative explanation is that Google wants its software to be easier to use/access on Samsung phones--and if people prefer to use the Galaxy Store, some Google products can now be found in it.

It may take us a while to understand the reasons behind all of this, but Google apps displayed in as many places as possible are harmless.
