Shulou(Shulou.com)06/02 Report--

Although the ServerCore system reduces the resource consumption and enhances the security, but for the Windows system to operate all through the command line, there are still too many unaccustomed. So the best way to manage the ServerCore host is to remotely manage it on another host with a graphical interface, which not only gains the advantages of ServerCore, but also reduces the difficulty of operation, killing two birds with one stone. But how to configure ServerCore remote management, this operation itself is not easy to implement, here are the requirements of the tasks in the World Cup:

The server R_SERVER2 is the domain controller DC, which installs the 2012R2 system with graphical interface, and the server R_SERVER3 is the DNS server with the 2012R2 ServerCore system installed.

1. Remote management ServerCore

If you are in a domain environment, it is easy to manage ServerCore remotely, as long as you add a remote server to the Server Manager. But now the server installed with the ServerCore system is used to provide DNS services, and only when it is configured first can the domain environment be built. Therefore, for the title of the World Cup, in fact, it is required to remotely manage ServerCore in the working group mode, the following describes the specific operation.

Experimental environment: virtual machine DC (GUI, IP address 192.168.80.11) as the remote management host, virtual machine DNS (ServerCore, IP address 192.168.80.12).

First of all, set the IP address and computer name on the virtual machine DNS through the sconfig tool, and enable remote management.

Then set the remote management ServerCore on the virtual machine DC. When you add a remote server in Server Manager, you will get an error if you enter the IP of the ServerCore server directly. The best way to search here is based on DNS, that is, to search for the computer name, and then parse it into IP through DNS.

But now there is no DNS server, so how to resolve it? Here you can modify the hosts file on DC and give the ServerCore host a name at will, such as ServerCore.

Then on DC, you also need to execute a PowerShell command "set-item wsman:\ localhost\ client\ TrustedHosts-value ServerCore" to add the host named ServerCore to the list of trusted hosts. The parameter "ServerCore" after the "- value" option in this command is the name given to the ServerCore host in the hosts file, and you can use whatever name you want.

Then add the remote server again, this time using the name ServerCore to search, and finally added successfully.

Right-click on the added server and select "Management method".

Enter the account and password used to remotely manage the ServerCore host, and note the format of the account name here.

At this point, we have successfully added a remote ServerCore host on DC.

Right-click on the remote host and you can add roles and functions directly. Install the DNS, DHCP, IIS roles for it here.

two。 Remote management service

After the role is installed, how can the service be managed remotely? Here, you need to install the appropriate administrative tools in "add roles and functions" on the administrative host.

Then right-click the ServerCore host in the server manager to select the appropriate administrative tool from the menu.

The operation of managing IIS remotely is more complicated.

Both the DHCP and DNS managers can connect directly to the remote host and do not need to be configured. The operation of managing IIS remotely is more complicated.

First, when installing the IIS role for the ServerCore server, be careful to install Administrative Services in the Administrative tools at the same time.

Then execute the "net start wmsvc" command on the ServerCore host to start the IIS remote management service.

Also modify the registry on the ServerCore host, execute the regedit command directly from the command line to open the registry editor, and change the value of [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\ SOFTWARE\ Microsoft\ WebManagement\ Server\ EnableRemoteManagement] to 1.

Finally, connect to the remote server in the IIS management tool of the management host

Continue to select "Connect" when the certificate warning below appears.
