If you need a very stable server system to provide stable services, and are not afraid to take the time to configure the server, then you can also choose to use FreeBSD (another branch of BSD) or Slackware.

If you are choosing a stable, secure, technical support for your business and no financial problems, it is recommended that you choose a paid RHEL and Ubuntu or an enterprise version of SUSE.

If your business is not very large and you want to consider using a stable and secure server system in a production environment, but do not want to spend a lot of money to buy a paid version, it is recommended that you choose CentOS (community version of RedHat) or Debian.

Choice of personal version:

If you just need a desktop system and don't want to spend a lot of money on commercial software, then you need a Linux distribution suitable for desktop use. If you don't want to customize anything yourself, you just want to choose one that is as easy to use and beautiful as Windows, and you don't want to waste too much time on the system, then it's very simple. You can choose one of the Ubuntu series such as ubuntu, kubuntu, xubuntu and so on according to your hobby. The difference between the three is only the difference in desktop programs. Of course, you can also choose Ubuntu-based Linux Mint, which has a very similar style to windows and supports language localization in different regions.

If you want to get the latest open source software or test new software and are not afraid of system stability, it is recommended that you consider Fedora. It is a linux release that updates quickly and contains a lot of the latest open source software because it acts as an experimental version of RHEL.

If you need a desktop system, want to customize your own Linux system very flexibly, want your machine to run faster, and are not afraid to waste a little time on Linux installation, then you can choose Gentoo.

Personal recommendation:

On the server side, CentOS; is recommended if it is not used in a production environment. If it is an important production environment, Redhat or Ubuntu is recommended.
