ICMP is (Internet Control Message Protocol) Internet control message protocol. It is a subprotocol of the TCP/IP protocol family, which is used to transfer control messages between IP hosts and routers. The control message refers to the message of the network itself, such as whether the network is unreachable, whether the host is reachable, whether the route is available, and so on.

Ping uses the ICMP protocol, so ICMP is exempted from IPSec, that is, in end-to-end communication, you can use Ping by loosening the restrictions on Ping.

two。 Procedure:

Open windows Firewall, click Open Firewall Properties, and in the IPSec tab, set ICMP exemption from IPSec to Yes

After the operation of this step, Ping can be connected, if not, see if the printer echo rule is disabled. Because the following "echo request" system is turned on by default, it is generally not disabled, and there will be no problems. The first step, "remove ICMP from IPSec", defaults to "No", so make sure it is set to "Yes" first.

two。 Open File and Printer sharing (echo request) in inbound rule
