After compiling the fcitx and installing it, the result also indicates that "the same service htt already exists". Type ps-ef | grep htt to kill the found process (it should be a htt_xbe process, which may cause some windows to crash, never mind). Sure enough, fcitx started successfully. If you don't do anything, nine out of ten programs will not start the next time you start X. in fact, as other people's websites say, "the crash of the XIM program will lead to the crash of the application and X, so please save the data at any time." Obviously, some of the necessary configurations are not set up, and fcitx does not start up. Fortunately, before uninstalling IIim, I saw an iiim file in the / etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/ directory, and files such as zh_CN in the directory point to this file. The contents of the file are as follows:

The most important thing about Fedore Core 3 should be these environment variables, because the relevant articles on the Internet also say that they should set XIM to fcitx. But obviously this file is not a script, ah, don't worry, there is a xinput.sh in the / etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.d/ directory, which is responsible for initializing the local language input method environment, such as China-simplified Chinese, it will read the zh_CN file in the / etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/ directory and then generate the corresponding environment variables.

This makes the problem easy: create a new file fcitx under the / etc/X11/xinit/xinput.d/ directory (without this directory, you can create one). The file content is as follows:

XIM=fcitx

XIM_PROGRAM=fcitx

Gnome-im-settings-daemon > / dev/null

Then establish a link to the file in this directory:

Ln-s fcitx zh_CN

Ln-s fcitx default
