FTP protocol

What is FTP? FTP is one of the protocols in the TCP/IP protocol group, which is the abbreviation of File Transfer Protocol.

This protocol is the basis of Internet file transfer. It consists of a series of specification documents, which aims to improve file sharing, provide indirect use of remote computers, and make storage media transparent and reliable for users to transfer data. To put it simply, FTP is a copy between two computers, copying files from a remote computer to your own computer, called "download" files. If you copy a file from your own computer to a remote computer, it is called an "upload" file. In the TCP/IP protocol, the FTP standard command TCP port number is 21 Magi Port mode data port is 20.

FTP server and client

Like most Internet services, FTP is a client / server system. The user connects to a server program running on a remote computer through a client program. According to the FTP protocol to provide services, the computer for file transfer is the FTP server, and the computer that connects to the FTP server and follows the FTP protocol to transfer files with the server is the FTP client. If you want to connect to the FTP server, you need to use the client software of FPT. Windows usually comes with the "ftp" command, which is a command-line FTP client program. In addition, the commonly used FTP client programs include CuteFTP, Ws_FTP, Flashfxp, LeapFTP, meteor shower-cat's eye and so on.

2. Create a FTP service
