­when it comes to August, it means closer to the release date of the final version of Android O. Google officials say the Android O update will be released in the third quarter of 2017, while a new version based on information available in early June is expected to be released in early August (week 1 or week 2).

David Ruddock (from Android Police), which previously revealed that the Android O update will be released in early August, wrote in the latest tweet: "I hope the official Google Pixel Android O update will be released within a week. It may be delayed for a while, but as far as I know, this is the period of time."

­Google Pixel and Pixel XL will be the first to receive an Android O system upgrade, but the old Nexus is still eligible for the upgrade, but will be released later. Google has recently confirmed that the Android O version is 8.0. once the final version is ready for launch, it will also confirm the official name. According to recent revelations, Android O may be called Android Oatmeal Cookie.
