The United States tops the list of the top ten countries in the world that are most suitable for building data centers.

The United States remains the country with the highest bandwidth capacity in the rankings, with average electricity costs remaining relatively low, while electricity bills are rising in most other countries. However, the report added that natural disasters remain the most damaging factors for data centers, such as Hurricane Sandy, which swept through New York last year.

The UK is in second place because of its high bandwidth capacity and high scores in the ease of doing business index. However, the advantage of island countries in opening up data centres may be offset by rising energy costs.
