How to install linux on the virtual machine Hello everyone, today I will show you how to install the linux system on the virtual machine and successfully connect the device to the network.

First of all, it should be noted that the firewall and some security software of the Windows system should be turned off first, otherwise some subsequent settings will be affected. Note: under special circumstances, the windows environment does not need to turn off the firewall.

First, set up the virtual machine, 1. Select NAT mode above, 2. Next, we also need to select NAT mode, 3. Set subnet ip and subnet mask, 4 detailed NAT settings.

Bridging: advantages: access the external network with the IP address of the virtual host; disadvantages: easy to conflict with the IP of windows

NAT: advantages: access the public network with the IP address of the virtual host

Host only: advantages: will not be accessed by the external network disadvantages: can not access the external network

Just set up the gateway.

Start creating a virtual machine

Select Custom

This is the default, and the most matching version is automatically recommended to you.

Choose to install later here.

Because we are creating a linux system, we choose linux. Of course, there are many versions, such as Redhat, Debian and so on. If your system is 64-bit, you must pay attention to the following bits. If it is not compatible, it is basically impossible to use. What I choose here is centos7.

Name your virtual machine, it doesn't matter, it mainly depends on where you want to save the created virtual machine file. Remember! It is recommended not to store it on disk C. Friends who know something about computers should know that once you reinstall the windows system, these things will be gone.

By default, the configuration here is basically enough.

Set up the memory of a virtual machine, similar to the memory of a computer, and one G is enough.

Allocate all disks immediately is the space allocated to linux100G immediately

It is not convenient for a single file to modify information later, so select multiple files

Change the settings of the virtual machine

Select the image we downloaded.

Press the ↑ arrow to select the first, install the system, and then press the TAB key to set the virtual network card name: (there is a space here, otherwise it is not created successfully) net.ifnames=0 biosdevname=0 and enter

Select language

Allocate disk siz

Click Save when setup is complete

Set Nic information

Set the password for the system
