Cloudera Manager is an application for managing, configuring, and monitoring CDP private cloud infrastructure clusters and Cloudera Runtime services.

View the status and other details of the service instance or the role instance associated with the service

Make configuration changes to a service instance, role, or specific role instance

Add and remove services or roles

Stop, start, or restart a service or role.

View audit event history

Deploy and download client configuration

Deactivate and re-enable role instances

Enter or exit maintenance mode

Perform operations specific to a specific service type. For example:

Cloudera Manager Management Services-manage and monitor Cloudera Manager management services. This includes the following roles: activity monitor, alert publisher, event server, host monitor, navigator audit server, navigator metadata server, report manager, and service monitor.

Hosts-displays the hosts in the cluster.

Reports-create reports on HDFS, MapReduce, YARN, and Impala usage, browse HDFS files, and manage quotas for the HDFS directory.

Utilization report-Open the cluster utilization report. Displays summary utilization information for YARN and Impala jobs.

MapReduce_service_name Jobs- queries for information about running MapReduce jobs on the cluster.

YARN_service_name applications-query information about YARN applications running on the cluster.

Impala_service_name queries-queries for information about Impala queries running on the cluster.

Dynamic resource pool-manages the dynamic allocation of cluster resources for YARN and Impala services by specifying the relative weight of the named pool.

Static service pool-manages the static allocation of cluster resources to HBase, HDFS, Impala, MapReduce, and YARN services.

Hosts-displays hosts managed by Cloudera Manager.

All hosts-displays a list of managed hosts in the cluster.

Add Host-launches the add Host wizard.

Parcel- displays the Parcel available in the cluster and allows you to download, distribute, and activate the new Parcel.

Host configuration-opens the Host configuration page, where you can configure hosts and specify overrides for the global configuration properties of one or more hosts.

Roles-displays the roles deployed on each host.

Host templates-create and manage host templates that define the set of role groups that can be used to easily expand the cluster.

Disk Overview-displays the status of all disks in the cluster.

Audit-query and filter audit events across clusters, including login across clusters.
