KaliLinuxNetHunter tutorial implements unlocking Bootloader by brushing machine

When the user is ready to complete all the previous work, he can start to brush the machine. Among them, the whole brushing process is divided into three steps, namely, unlocking Bootloader, brushing into third-party Recovery and implementing brushing machine. In order to enable users to experience all the features, this tutorial will use the latest version to build a Kali NetHunter environment. The following will introduce the whole process of brushing machine in detail.

1. Unlock Bootloader

In an embedded operating system, Bootloader runs before the operating system kernel runs. The hardware device can be initialized and the memory space mapping map can be established, so as to bring the software and hardware environment of the system to an appropriate state, so that the operating system kernel can be called to prepare the correct environment. In embedded systems, there is usually no firmware program like BIOS, so the loading and starting task of the whole system is completely completed by Bootloader.

From this, we can see that Bootloader is very important. If the Bootloader does not load properly, the mobile phone is a brick and cannot be started and used properly. This is why it is necessary to unlock the Bootloader in order to brush into the third-party ROM. If you do not crack the Bootloader, you will not be able to initialize the phone hardware, and the phone will not be able to use. The method of unlocking Bootloader is described below.

[example 1-2] unlock Bootloader. The specific steps are as follows:

(1) enter fastboot mode. First of all, turn off the phone. Then, press the "volume up key + power button" to enter fastboot mode. After successfully entering fastboot mode, the text "fastboot" will be displayed on the phone.

(2) plug the phone into the PC machine, then open the command prompt window for Windows and enter the following command:

Cd Desktop\ android-sdk-windows\ platform-tools

From the output, you can see that the currently connected device is displayed.

(3) at this point, unlock Bootloader. Execute the command as follows:

Fastboot oem unlock

From the output information, you can see the prompt OKAY, which means that the unlock is successful.

(4) restart the mobile phone. Execute the command as follows:

Fastboot reboot

Rebooting...

Finished. Total time: 0.016s

From the output information, you can see that the phone is rebooting. When the phone is successfully rebooted, it will enter the system. Next, you need to adjust some of the phone's settings.

(5) enable USB debugging of the phone. In the phone, select "Settings" | "about Mobile phone" | "Press the built-in version number 7 times in a row", and the developer option will be enabled. Then, go back to the settings interface and select the developer options command, which will open the interface shown in figure 1.13.

(6) Select the Android debugging option in this interface, and click the button on the right to enable USB debugging. After you click the button, a prompt dialog box pops up.

(7) the dialog box shows the function of USB debugging, whether you want to turn on USB debugging or not. Click the "OK" button here to turn on USB debugging.

(8) disable the Cyanogen recovery model. In the phone, select the "Settings" | "developer options" command, and disable the "Update Cyanogen recovery model" option.
