On December 2, the integrated cabling working group held a discussion on two technical white papers in Shanghai, and the technical experts of the working group members participated in the discussion.

Zhang Yi, leader of the integrated cabling working group, first explained the draft of the "Technical White Paper on the Optimization of wiring Systems for all kinds of buildings" and solicited opinions on the framework of the white paper and the details of each part.

Zhang Yi said that this white paper is to prepare for the revision of the national standard GB 50311 and 50312 next year, and the goal is to find commonalities and better serve the market according to different types of buildings and on the basis of comprehensive wiring. According to reports, the main body of this white paper is mainly based on ISO international standards, mainly considering the differences of all kinds of buildings in system configuration, network construction, and technical parameters, focusing on engineering construction indicators, while in product selection, consider the basic use requirements of different buildings, and emphasize the main points such as spacing, filling rate, bending radius and so on in installation.

In view of the characteristics of all kinds of buildings, Zeng Songming, technical director of Detweiler in China, put forward some problems, such as the adoption of regional distribution frame, the applicability of ground insertion mode, cable protection against rodent and lightning, campus wireless coverage and so on. Other experts also discussed the relevant details. The manufacturers who did not provide relevant cases have made a division of labor on the issue of data support. Subsequently, Fang Yi, Corporate Network Technology Manager of Corning Communications (Greater China), explained the launch of the project "White Paper on the Application of Optical Fiber Systems in data Center Engineering".

Fang Yi said that this white paper is mainly aimed at the previously released "White Paper on Design and Construction Inspection Technology of Optical Fiber Distribution system" to further extend and expand its application in the data center field. at the same time, combined with the "data center cabling system engineering application technology white paper", do a more focused discussion. Next, members of the working Group discussed the outline for the preparation of this white paper.

It is generally believed that it should first be introduced from the system framework, and then the differences between optical fiber as a transmission medium and copper cable (especially 10 gigabit copper cable) should also be mentioned. In addition, on the one hand, we should introduce the advanced concepts of North American optical fiber and data center applications, on the other hand, we should distinguish different levels of data centers from the perspective of domestic users, and do targeted and practical technical guidance. Try to make a comprehensive introduction to the products, such as multi-mode single-mode, all kinds of optical fiber connectors and so on. In the aspect of optical fiber termination, there should be both pre-termination and other optical fiber connection methods. in addition, the white paper should also include testing, construction and installation, management, related cases and so on.
