The school has set up a database course this semester, which requires us to install a SQL sever software to practice using.

I found SQL sever 2008R2 resources in the official account, the software installation housekeeper. After downloading and decompressing the package, I began to install it step by step according to the tutorial. I thought it could be installed smoothly, but the following problems occurred in the first few steps:

1. Displays the prompt that the instance name is already in use. Later, I searched my browser and found that the reason for this prompt was that the computer had already installed SQL sever. (I thought, that's true, because I started with version 2016, but I didn't succeed, so I chose the 2008R2 version again.)

Solution: one is to uninstall the default instance, and the other is to reset a new instance name yourself, but it is said that when you connect to SQL sever, you have to use the machine name plus the instance name you set to access it. For example: sever=127.0.0.1\ aaa (aaa is your own instance name) this method I have not tried, is to see other people's answers.

The first method I choose (win10 as an example): click "Control Panel"-find the previous SQL sever installation package to be uninstalled "right-click"-Select "Uninstall"-select "remove"-will enter an interface and click on the features to be removed or select all (if you reinstall another version, you can select all, I am to delete 2016, reinstall the 2008R2)-click "next" and wait for the removal to be finished.

Because I have already deleted, so I choose to delete fewer functions. Then you can reinstall it.

two。 Another problem I encountered was that during "server configuration", the credentials provided for the SQL sever proxy service were invalid; the credentials specified by the SQL sever service were invalid, and it turned out that I forgot to choose the account name. The account name should be "NT AUTHORITY\ NET."

After solving these two problems, my SQL sever is finally installed.

Because I have installed it many times and even tried MY SQL, but it didn't work.
