If the client computer uses these network printers directly, it may be because the default setting when installing the printer, for example, the default paper is Letter, in fact, the printer tray is A4, which leads to the failure of printing normally. Or can not achieve the standardization of client-side printing, such as black-and-white printing by default, of course, you can choose color printing in the client printer options when needed.

Problem analysis and solution

The network printer installed through the print Service Manager has two default property settings, one is the default setting when the printer is used directly by this print server, and the other is the default setting when using the printer for our client computers.

In order to standardize printing on client computers, we can set the default settings of network printers for client computers in the print Service Manager.

Operation steps

1. In print server management, right-click the printer you want to modify-Set Printing Defaults...:
