2. Click "create a new virtual machine"

7. Enter the name of the virtual machine and select the storage location. The name of the virtual machine can be entered at will, but it is best to see the name. It is recommended to choose the storage location in the disk with more remaining capacity. Click "next" when the above is finished.

8. Click "next"

9. Select virtual memory, press the default, and then click "next"

10. Select the network connection, use Network address Translation (NAT) (E), and then click next.

11. Select "LSI Logic (L)", which is the type of isign O controller, and then click "next".

12. Select the disk type "SCSI (S)" and click "next"

13. Select disk "create New Virtual disk (V)", and then click next.

14. Specify the disk capacity, which can be set according to the remaining capacity of your hard disk, and then click "next"

15. Click "next"

After clicking finish, the following error message may appear:

The main reason for this error is that the commonly used software such as VMware is based on 32-bit. If you want to run a 64-bit system on it, you need to turn on the virtualization of CPU! The Windows7 64-bit operating system is turned off by default!

The solution is as follows:

The first step is to check whether CPU supports virtualization, which can be checked with CPU-Z software: if you see VT-X, CPU supports virtualization, as shown in the figure below.

If you do not see VT-X, virtualization is not supported and a 64-bit system cannot be installed on a virtual machine. (you can choose to install 32-bit)

If CPU supports virtualization, we need to enable this feature as follows:

(1) enter BIOS (press F2 or Del, F12 and other shortcut keys when starting up. For example, the following computer is a lenovoY430p notebook. Press F2 to enter when starting up. The situation is different for different computers)

(2) Select "Configuration- > Intel Virtual Technology" to set this option to "Enabled"

After you have selected it, save and exit.

Of course, there are different versions of BIOS, some options may be different, you can find the same.

17. After troubleshooting, reopen VMware and reopen ubuntu

After opening it, the following prompt may appear, click "cancel update", and then click "close":
