Second, install the database

Note: a 10g database is valid only in the xp operating system.

It is recommended to install it on a virtual machine so that you can play as much as you like.

1. Run the installer Setup.exe, and the system will start Oracle Universal Installer, and then check the prerequisites. The following illustration appears

2. Then next all the way. In the last step, you need to configure your login information.

3. After the installation is complete, run the configuration wizard automatically, as shown in the following figure, and wait for it to complete:

4. After completion, the "password Management" interface appears, and click "password Management", as shown below:

5. Remove the gap between SCOTT and HR users (unlock these two accounts), as shown in the following figure, click "OK":

6. Go back to the "password Management" interface, and click "OK", as shown below:

7. When the installation is over, click "exit".

Configure client connection tools Oracle Instant Client and SQLPlus refer to my blog: install and use Oracle Instant Client and SQLPlus IV. After the connection tool is configured, test the connection on the virtual machine

In dos, enter:

Sqlplus scott/tiger@192.168.62.168:1521/orcl

192.168.62.168 1521: this is the ip address where you connect to the database virtual machine.
