I have worked for more than two years. Although I have done development in the middle, managed the server, and served as BA, I spent most of my time in professional testing or test management. I have come into contact with seven or eight large and small projects at home and abroad, of course, many of them are parallel. From ordinary personnel to management, they are satisfied with their own growth and career development. Recently, I am going to lead a team to develop an automated testing framework, and there is no lack of summing up the past and comparing the software testing industry at home and abroad before the next stage of efforts.

Many domestic clients and even project managers think that the test is just a little bit, take a look. In fact, "point-by-point" testing can only be regarded as the "novice village" of software testing, but throughout today's software companies, no matter what "automated testing, mastering lr" and so on, the real work is still mainly manual testing. Of course, this is related to the current situation of domestic software, and in many cases automated testing is not used.

Today, let's put aside automated testing, put aside the white box, and only talk about black box testing. In terms of black box testing alone, what are we missing?

I have worked with several foreign projects and had in-depth conversations with foreign customers. I found that unlike domestic customers who focus on function, foreign customers pay more attention to security and user experience. To take a simple example, for a website that is more entertaining, sprint1 customers are required to have no functionality when they view it, but they are excruciatingly strict about the page and security. At the same time, I was impressed by the importance they attached to software testers.

Apart from several giants in the software industry, some other small and medium-sized companies, especially outsourcing companies, ask which testers are involved in project design, which test projects will focus on security testing, and which company will focus on user experience?

Of course, it is not that there is no such thing, but only a few. More testers are still focused on waterfall or agile development patterns, executing functional test cases.

When it comes to test case design, I am most exposed to Web-based office systems, and the longest occurrence of use cases is words such as "XXX operation is successful". When you think about it, how meaningful is it that such statements appear in functional test cases? Can we really trust the so-called system hints? From a development point of view, this system hint is probably just a simple js-alert. Perhaps the operation on the page does not update the data in at all. If I were to write functional test cases now, I would make it clear that some fields of a table had been updated to test the execution of the function in more depth.
