According to a French report, Apple plans a major storage upgrade for the iPhone, the first time in the device's history that it will offer storage capacity of at least 1TB.

On the other hand, the report did not mention whether Apple hopes to bring this upgrade to all iPhone models, but only Pro and Pro Max will have a chance to get it.

The iPhone 12 's top storage option at this time is 512GB, so Apple does have a chance to upgrade to 1TB, although as usual, you should spend a bit of salt.

At some point, Apple's decision to offer more storage on the iPhone could end up backfiring, because deep convergence with cloud storage is a very good thing for the company.

Many iPhone buyers end up buying cloud storage after running out of storage space on their devices, so their data is automatically uploaded to the cloud and stored securely on and accessible from other devices.

On the other hand, if the iPhone ends up with 1TB of storage, some buyers may no longer need cloud storage, especially since it means the device will come with twice as much storage as it currently has.

But, of course, we should also expect a corresponding price for the iPhone 1TB storage option, so if this version does launch as part of the iPhone 13 product line, it will cost $100 or $200 more than the 512GB configuration.
