First, go to the official website to download IntelliJ IDEA executable files:

After the download is complete, double-click the executable file. Take the blogger as an example. Double-click the downloaded "ideaIU-2016.3.5" executable file to enter the "IntelliJ IDEA" installation page, as shown in the following figure:

In this step, click "Next" without doubt to enter the following interface:

Here, it needs to be explained that IntelliJ IDEA is installed in the "Program Files (x86)" directory of the C disk by default. If we want to install it in the directory of the C disk, click "Next"; if you want to modify the installation directory of IntelliJ IDEA, click "Browse" to modify it. As shown in the above figure, the blogger installed IntelliJ IDEA in the "Program Files (x86)" directory of D drive, click "Next" to enter the following interface:

Note 1: It means to create a shortcut to IntelliJ IDEA on the desktop. It is recommended to check this box. Otherwise, we have to start IntelliJ IDEA in the installation directory every time. Wouldn't we be tired?

Note 2: It means that the associated.java,.jGrooy and.kt files are not checked, otherwise we have to start IntelliJ IDEA every time we open the above three types of files, which is slower, and if we only want to view the file content, it is more convenient to open it with a portable editor such as EditPlus.

Next, click "Next" to enter the following interface:

Select a "Start Menu Folder", this does not matter, we can select the default "JetBrains" folder, click "Install", install:
