Install GNS3 first

When the download is complete, open the file and find the initial installation file for GNS3-1.3.10

Uncheck the Wireshark1.21.1 and SolarWinds Response options below. Selecting them here will download them on their own, which will take a long time and will basically prompt the download to fail. We will install them separately later.

First find the wireshark installation file to open

Pop up an installation wizard for WInshark and follow the prompts to install

Now open the installed GNS3

Here is the basic interface of GNS3

At this time, we have not configured the router yet, so we need to add the router image ourselves.

Select the latest version image

Click on the router icon and see the router icon of C3725, so our router is configured.

Then let's test the idel-pc value, yes, the cpu occupancy rate will not be too high.

First of all, drag two configured routers to the right, and connect them with a network cable, and the port selection should be consistent. Here, we will choose port 0.

Click the green arrow above to turn it all on.

At this time, you can see if your cpu usage is very high, because we haven't set the idel-pc value yet.

Now right-click one of the routers and select idel pc to start testing the idel-PC value

Select the option followed by * in the drop-down box below, and then select OK

In this way, our idel-pc value is set, and you will find that your cpu usage has dropped significantly.

Finally, we will begin to install SecureCRT.

SecureCRT is a terminal emulation program that supports SSH (SSH1 and SSH2). To put it simply, it is the software that logs into the host computer of UNIX or Linux server under Windows.

SecureCRT supports SSH, as well as TLNET and rlogin protocols. SecureCRT is an ideal tool for connecting and running, including Windowa and VMS.

First open the GSN3 folder, find the SecureCRT file, and extract it to the current folder

Enter the decompression password SPOTO to complete the decompression

At this time, the extracted files are isolated by the antivirus software that comes with windows. You need to restore them, then find scrt-801-x64 and double-click to run them.

Now you need to crack secureCRT to make it work forever, otherwise there will only be an one-month probation period.

Right-click the newly generated icon, select Properties, and select the location where to open the file.

Then unpack the scrt cracked patch in our GNS3 folder, copy and paste it to the folder location opened above

At this time, there may also be windows automatic isolation, still restore it, then right-click the copied file, and click to run as administrator.

First click generate to generate the secret key, then click patch

Select secureCRT and click Open

Then select LicenseHelper and click Open

Don't turn it off when you're done. You'll need it later.

Now double-click to open SecurtCRT 8.0 on the desktop

Copy the information from the right border to the left according to the corresponding one, and be careful not to make a mistake.

Turn them all off here, reopen GNS3, and select preferences in EDIT

In general, select SecureCRT in the first drop-down box in console applications, and click SET next to it. A location will be automatically generated below. Click OK.

At this point, our GNS3 environment is fully deployed.
