Yesterday, when the virtual machine updated the kali software, it was not finished. The virtual machine hung up. Today, after updating and rebooting, I found that I could not enter the graphical interface. Luckily, some great gods have also encountered and solved the problem! First of all, after rebooting, the interface enters the text editing mode. You enter the account name: root password: xxxx and enter it directly.

Kali~#

Then enter:

Kali~# ifconfig (to see if the network card is started, enter kali~# ifconfig eth0 up to restart the network card if it is not started)

Kali~# ping www.baidu.com (if you can't ping, then reconfigure the network card so that you can access the Internet to solve the following problems)

Kali~# apt-get clean & & apt-get update & & apt-get upgrade-y & & apt-get dist-upgrade-y

Next, you are about to copy into the critical step. I have been stuck in this step for a long time, and no personal profile is different, so the path is also different.

Kali~# cd / etc

Kali~ / etc# ls (see if there is X11 in the file directory shown, which is uppercase and followed by the number 11, not the letter ll)

Next

Kaili~ / etc#cd / X11

Kali~ / etc/X11#ls (is there a file name with original in the file displayed, and xorg.conf.nvidia-xconfig-original in my file)

Kali~ / etc/X11#cp xorg.conf.nvidia-xconfig-original / etc/X11/xorg.conf (you can also retreat to the root directory: kali~# cp / etc/X11/xorg.conf.nvidia-xconfig-original / etc/X11/xorg.conf)

And then you can.

Kali~#reboot
