Galaxy Buds, released more than half a year ago, quickly became the world's second-most popular "sounding device," although it's hard to say how many Samsung actually sold, just as gifts with the Galaxy S10 to consumers and Note 10 series phones.

While it's hard to see Samsung's latest genuine wireless earbuds as competitors to Apple's heavyweight offerings, their significantly lower prices undoubtedly make them attractive to people who can't or won't spend at least $159 for a pair of heavily censored AirPods. For a limited time, Galaxy Buds were even cheaper than usual in black and white, priced at $97.49 at ATT.

That's 25% less than the list price of AKG-tuned Samsung Galaxy Buds tuned dollars. All you have to do is ask for a hefty discount of $32.50, simply add the wireless headset to the carrier's shopping cart on its website and choose your preferred shipping method. Standard delivery nationwide is free, and so is in-store pickup…as long as you choose a store with Galaxy Buds.

Technically, the deal is scheduled to expire Oct. 17, but sources say ATT may not have enough inventory to meet the demand for this new price cut. Galaxy Buds look very similar to Amazon's new Echo Buds, very thin and relatively comfortable to wear. Although these bad boys do not have any advanced noise reduction technology, they support wireless charging by default. When you put them in a sleek, compact case, you can even squeeze juice right out of the Galaxy S10.

The case can increase the battery life of the headset from 6 hours to a total of 13 hours, which is not earth-shattering, but can be achieved for less than 100 yuan. IPX2 's waterproof rating is far from impressive, but definitely better than nothing. The bottom line is, you can probably do better, but you can't buy it for $97.49.
