The Mix 2S is now equipped with dual cameras.

Xiaomi 8 has been officially released. It has a 6.21-inch AMOLED screen and dual 12 million-pixel rear cameras.

The new Xiaomi Mix 2S is an upgraded version of Xiaomi Mix 2 launched last year. Equipped with newer hardware, it can compete with the new generation of full-screen flagship mobile phones. Oh, there is no gap in iphone style.

Mix 2S was released in Shanghai on Tuesday. Equipped with 12 million pixel rear dual cameras, artificial intelligence wide-angle lens and telephoto lens combination. Using Sony's latest IMX636 sensor, the Mix 2S has larger 1.4m pixels and two-pixel technology to take better pictures in low light. We will certainly test it in practice.

In addition, the phone looks exactly the same, with some of the same configuration as Xiaomi Mix 2. In the lower right corner of the phone, there is a 5.99inch full HD display (2160x1080 pixels), a ceramic back panel and a 5 million pixel front camera.

Thanks to machine learning technology, Mix 2S has a camera that can accurately detect scattered hair or accessories, ensuring that photos taken in portrait mode will not be blurred. The phone can seamlessly take five different photos and combine them to reduce noise in low-light photos.

Another cool feature is Optical character recognition (OCR). For example, it can detect that you are taking a picture of a presentation and use optical character recognition technology to transcribe text in Mandarin or English, so when you enlarge the photo, the text is still clear. I wonder if this will be used in the global model.

I like the feeling of holding a cell phone in my hand. For example, Mix 2Jing 2S has a smooth and curved corner, which is very comfortable to hold in your hand. Compared with Mix 2, it feels a little heavy, but this can only be confirmed by specific specifications.

In other words, I am not a big fan of white phones, my front camera is very conspicuous, and the appearance of the phone is very clean. On the hidden black model, the use of Xiaomi uses extra steps to make the camera invisible through slightly colored lenses. The speaker hole on the top of the phone is the same. Maybe Xiaomi can turn it white and hide it better.

In addition to this new camera, the Mix 2S is equipped with Qualcomm's stylish new Snapdragon 845 processor and dual nano sim card slots. A key new feature is the use of standard wireless charging, which made its debut in Mix 2S. There is no waterproof news yet, but it has never been a top priority for mobile phone manufacturers.

There will be three versions of Mix 2S: 6GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage mode, 6GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage mode, and the final version of 8GB and 256GB onboard storage. This phone comes in black and white. Unlike Xiaomi Mix 2, the phone doesn't seem to have a special version of the ceramic body.

The basic model sells for 3299 yuan (about US $530,370 or A $680) and the high-end model sells for 3999 yuan (about US $640,450 or A $830). The price of a second child in the family is 3599 yuan (US $575), about 405 pounds, or 745 Australian dollars. Global sales of the phone have not been disclosed, but will go on sale on April 3.

Xiaomi added that if you want to use Mix 2S anywhere in the world, you have to buy high-end models that support all LTE bands around the world. All models should be applicable to the UK and Australia.
