The computer is getting more and more stuck because you don't know how to set it up yet!

First, the cleaning to be done every day or every few days before shutting down:

Double-click "my computer" → right-click C disk → point "property" → point "disk clean" → point "make sure" → point "is" → point "OK". During the cleaning process, you can see that the "temporary files" coming in without your permission (you can click "View File" to see) have been cleared, and there is more space on the disk. The same method should also be used for DBI E and F disks.

2. Clean-up to be carried out at any time:

Open the "tools" in the top row of the → point of the web page, click "tools" → click "Internet options" → and then click "delete files" → in the middle of "Internet temporary files" and then tick "→" in the box before "delete all offline content" and click "OK" again after → is cleared. In this way, the speed of opening the network and space can be increased.

Third, the garbage removal of the plate in a week:

Click "start" → with the mouse pointing to "all programs", then point to "attachments", then point to "system tools", then click "disk Defiler" → point C, and then click "defragmentation" (which takes a long time) → "close" after jumping out of "cleanup complete". According to the above, the E and F disks are cleaned respectively. This is a little slow, so take your time.

Fourth, the computer system is getting slower and slower, how to delete temporary files

1. Turn off hibernation

Method: open [start] → [Control Panel] → [Power options] → [hibernation], and uncheck the box before "enable hibernation".

Description: dormancy is a kind of standby state of the system for a long time, so that you can save the operating state when you leave the computer for a long time. If you don't often turn on the computer somewhere else, turn it off.

Turn off "remote management"

Method: open [start] → [Control Panel] → [system] → [remote] and uncheck the box before "allow remote assistance invitation to be sent from this computer".

Explanation: who often uses this feature? It does not occupy disk space, but it will affect the running speed of the system.

Turn off "automatic updates"

Method: open [start] → [Control Panel] → [Windows Update] → and select "turn off automatic updates"

Note: system updates do not take up disk space, you can update to Microsoft's update page when updates are available, instead of always needing a process to monitor whether updates are available.

7. Shut down the indexing Service

Method: [start] → [run] → enter "msconfig" → [service] to remove the tick before indexing servise. I don't have this option here. I can't experiment.

Description: the indexing service can improve the search speed of the system, who is always searching around in the system?

Reduce the startup items of boot load

Method: [start] → [run] → enter "msconfig" → [start] to remove unnecessary startup items

Note: the necessary startup items are generally best not removed under the system disk\ windows\ system32, but those that can definitely be removed are TINTSETP IMJPMIG IMSCMIG QQ and so on.

9. Cancel log files and inquiries in case of system failure

Open [start] → [Control Panel] → [system] → [Advanced] → [Startup and failure recovery] → [system failure] remove "write event to Syslog" and "send error alert"

Delete useless files

Method: open [Control Panel] → [folder options] → [View] → [Show all files and folders]

C:\ Documents and Settings\ user name\ Cookies\ all files except index files (record files generated by browsing web pages)

All files under C:\ Documents and Settings\ user name\ Local Settings\ Temp\ (user temporary files)

All files under C:\ Documents and Settings\ user name\ LocalSettings\ TemporaryInternet Files\ (browse multimedia information recorded on the web, speed up later browsing)

All files under C:\ Documents and Settings\ user name\ Local Settings\ History\ (access history)

All files under C:\ Documents and Settings\ user name\ Recent\ (shortcuts to recently browsed files) all files under C:\ WINDOWS\ Temp\ (temporary files)

All files under C:\ WINDOWS\ ServicePackFiles (backup files after upgrading sp1 or sp2)

Compressed file (backup file for driver) under C:\ WINDOWS\ Driver Cache\ i386

All files under C:\ WINDOWS\ SoftwareDistribution\ download (incomplete software downloads)

C:\ Windows\ with $u. Hidden files at the beginning (backup of Microsoft update installation files)

Delete useless users

The next thing to do is to sort out the space of disk C, and only after finishing can we get more space.

Method: [computer] → [local disk C] → [user (user)] (users of XP system at: C:\ Documents and Settings\ All Users)
