The UbuntuDDE team has created a PPA for their distribution, and you can use the same PPA to install a deep desktop environment on Ubuntu 20.04. Keep in mind that this PPA only applies to Ubuntu 20.04. Read about using PPA in Ubuntu.

No deep desktop environment V20

The deep desktop environment you will install with PPA here is not the new V20 yet. It may appear after the release of Ubuntu 20.10, but we can't guarantee it.

Here are the steps you need to follow:

Step 1: you need to first enter the following on the terminal to add the official PPA of the Ubuntu DDE Remix team:

Sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntudde-dev/stable

Step 2: after adding the repository, install the deep desktop environment.

Sudo apt install ubuntudde-dde

Now, the installation will start, and after a while, you will be asked to select the display manager display manager.

If you need a lock screen with a deep desktop theme, you need to select "lightdm". If not, you can set it to "gdm3".

Remove Deep Desktop from Ubuntu 20.04

If you don't like the experience, or for some reason it has bug, you can delete it by following these steps.

Step 1: if you have set "lightdm" as the display manager, you need to set the display manager to "gdm3" before uninstalling the deep desktop environment. To do this, type the following command:

Sudo dpkg-reconfigure lightdm

Then select "gdm3" to continue.

After you have done this, you can completely delete the deep desktop environment by entering the following command:

Sudo apt remove startdde ubuntudde-dde

You just need to restart to return to the original Ubuntu desktop environment. If the icon does not respond, just open the terminal (CTRL + ALT + T) and type:
