(3) experiment

After both GNS3 and Wireshark are installed, do the following:

1. Open the GNS3 preferences option

two。 Go to the preferences window and select the Capture option

3. You can see the following window information at this time

The information in the red window is what we want to modify (here I have changed it beforehand). The key is to find the installation path of the package capture software Wireshark. As shown in the figure, the Wireshark software installation path of the blogger is C:\ Program Files (x86)\ Wireshark\ wireshark.exe. Notice that there is a "% c" symbol behind it, so you must strictly follow this operation, otherwise you will not be able to start Wireshark (even if it has been successfully installed) when grabbing packages on GNS3.

As for the search for the installation path, it is relatively simple. It is not mentioned here, but it is emphasized that it must be filled in according to the following format:

C:\ Program Files (x86)\ Wireshark\ wireshark.exe% c

4. After the setting is completed, you can grab the package as follows

(1) right-click on the link to see the "Cature" option

(2) after clicking, select the interface to capture the package, and click the "OK" option.

(3) enter the Wireshark interface

(4) perform Ping operation on R1

(5) right click on the link at this time

You can see that there are two options:

Stop capturing: stop grabbing bags

Start Wireshark: grab the data passed on the link before this operation

Select "start Wireshark" here

(6) enter the Wireshark interface again and see the Ping package that we just performed the Ping operation.
