This is a familiar story from MagSafe; although iPhone 12 introduces this technology, MagSafe-certified charging accessories are not particularly common. Amazon is full of MagSafe-compatible wireless chargers that can be magnetically connected to your phone (some of them even have brackets!), but they will almost certainly charge 7.5W instead of the 15W charging non-mini iPhone offered by MagSafe. (it's also worth noting that some Amazon vendors are still promoting the 15W output of their battery pads, but the list usually acknowledges that this figure can only be achieved on Samsung phones.)

The prices of a few listed MAGSAFE accessories are eye-popping.

When manufacturers introduce MagSafe accessories, the price is often eye-popping. Perhaps one of the most notorious examples is Belkin's $40 Car Vent Mount Pro with MagSafe, which can't charge your phone. But Belkin is far from the only company to introduce expensive MagSafe accessories-Mophie has just announced a $150 three-in-one travel charging pad with a MagSafe phone charger, Apple Watch charger and (possibly Qi) AirPods charger. Apple's own MagSafe Duo charger, excluding extra AirPod pads, costs $130.

Compared with these products, the Mophie's $90 three-in-one rack can almost stay at home, which seems reasonable-except that you have to bring your own MagSafe hockey puck, which is in line with Belkin's similar $150 home charging pad.
