Test environment

CentOS 6.9 64bit

FreeSwitch 1.6.x

Please install FreeSwitch before installing the G729 module

Download the script and perform the installation

Wget file.qzlink.com/bcg729.shsh bcg729.sh

Check if the installation is successful

Fs_cli-x "show codecs" configuration transcoding succeeded

Our client may be G729 coded (to save traffic), but the operator may require PCMA 711 encoding

It can be configured as follows:

Modify the default 2 profile files

/ usr/local/freeswitch/conf/sip_profiles/external.xml/usr/local/freeswitch/conf/sip_profiles/internal.xml

Set all three properties to false. If not, add these three lines.

Inbound-late-negotiation coding late negotiation off

Inbound-zrtp-passthru is off, whether passthru traversal mode is used.

Whether disable-transcoding forbids transcoding false is enabled for transcoding

Add this line for systems above FreeSwitch 1.6 +, at the end of profile

Restart freeswitch to take effect
