DBSync supports synchronization between various heterogeneous databases, such as Access, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, DB2, etc., but many users encounter problems when synchronizing MySQL. Here are some solutions.

1. Problem phenomenon

When DBSync sets the synchronization task, if the database type is MySQL, after filling in the connection string and testing the connection, an error will be reported: the MySQL Provider provider is not registered on the local computer, as shown in the following figure:

DBSync uses OLE DB connection. Most databases support OLE DB, and OLE DB Provider is automatically installed when the corresponding database client is installed. Unfortunately, the Provider is not officially provided by MySQL, so you need to download and install the third-party driver MySQL OLE DB Provider separately.

Installation and activation steps: execute setup.exe to complete the installation; start all → programs → MySQL Provider → Shortcut to Activator →, enter the Activator interface → Click Obtain Free Activation Code →, enter its official website →, fill in the Passcode → Submit → page, display the obtained Activation Code →, return to the Activator interface, →, enter Activation Code → Activate Provider, as shown below:

After the MySQL OLE DB Provider installation is activated, DBSync can connect to the MySQL, as shown in the following figure:
