I. concept / specification

1. CFL high level protection (the specification only requires STCA to have CFL high protection)

CLAM alarm refers to the alarm generated by the system when the track deviates from the specified CFL altitude, or the rising and falling rate does not meet the requirements.

When the deviation between the actual flight height value of the target and the allowable flight height value CFL specified by the controller is greater than the specified value (VSP), it indicates that the flight deviates from the specified altitude level, and the system issues an altitude level deviation warning.

The target for generating the CLAM alarm is within the sector of the current seat control. Stop track, primary track or secondary code A0000 track, unmatched track do not make CLAM warning. If you have QNH height, use QNH height first.

2. CFL high level protection: (only STCA has CFL high protection)

The STCA alarm height layer protection parameters can be configured in the warning.ini file, including:

ü CFL height layer tolerance, generally set to 10m~150m

ü CFL high rise and fall rate threshold, generally set to 5~20m/s

The track protection height of ü CFL with high rise and fall rate is generally set to 10m to 150m.

[STCA_CFL_PROTECT] CFL_DEVIATION = 60 / / currently there is no parameter change in Taiyuan system, default 30CFL_CLIMB_DESCEND_RATE = 10 / / currently there is no parameter change in Taiyuan system, and default is 20CFL.

III. AirNet

1. CFL conformance alarm (SNET subsystem)

The system only calculates CFL consistent alarms for all targets within the control area.

CFL consistency check rules:

L within the specified time after setting the CFL value (cflwarndelay can be set), if the height of the target is not close to the movement trend of CFL, a CFL alarm will be generated.

If the aircraft has a close trend within a specified period of time, but keeps flying flat or away from CFL for more than a certain period of time before reaching the CFL value, a CFL alarm will be generated. (if the target has a trend of approaching CFL, but there are more than 3 system cycles flying flat or deviating from the specified altitude before reaching the CFL value, a CFL consistency alarm will be generated.)

L if the aircraft continues to maintain the upward (or downward) movement trend after reaching the CFL altitude, causing the flight altitude to exceed the tolerance value of CFL (cfltolerance can be set), a CFL alarm will be generated.

The setting of the tolerance value of CFL takes into account the error of the metric-imperial system in the current altitude regulations in China, especially the inconsistency between the prescribed RVSM operating altitude and the actual flight altitude of the aircraft.

2. CFL high-level protection: (except for STCA required by the specification, all alarms related to speculative mode and height are related to CFL height. Adding CFL protection can reduce a lot of unnecessary false alarms.)
