CTOnews.com, December 21 (Xinhua)-- Yihang Intelligence (hereinafter referred to as "Yihang Intelligence") announced today that its EH216-S unmanned manned aircraft has obtained a standard airworthiness certificate issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China (hereinafter referred to as "CAAC"), becoming the world's first unmanned electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft.

The EH216-S Standard Airworthiness Certificate issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China to Guangzhou Yitong Zhihang Technology Co., Ltd. is produced by Yihang Intelligent Yunfu production Base, complies with the model certificate issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of China in October 2023, and implements standard production procedures under the supervision of the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

The issuance of the airworthiness certificate indicates that the certified aircraft products meet the approved model design and meet the safety and quality requirements of commercial operations. This milestone also marks that Ehang's manufacturing capacity, test flight, quality assurance and production management level are in line with the relevant regulations, and have been recognized by the Civil Aviation Administration of China.

CTOnews.com noted that the first EH216-S to obtain an airworthiness certificate had been delivered to Guangzhou Yitong Zhihang Technology Co., Ltd., an aviation intelligent technology enterprise affiliated to Guangzhou Development Zone Transportation Investment Group in Huangpu District of Guangzhou City.
