CTOnews.com December 20 news, Microsoft recently updated support documentation, announced the deprecation of "Microsoft Defender Application Protection for Edge" feature.

Microsoft says Edge Business has deprecated Microsoft Defender app protection, including the Windows standalone app launcher API, and will not be updated later.

MDAG for Edge is a security feature that focuses on hardware isolation of untrusted websites and documents to help defend against malware and other threats.

Administrators can specify trusted sites; anything outside of this list is considered potentially unsafe. Users who attempt to access an untrusted site will receive a notification indicating that MDAG has opened the site in a security sandbox.
