CTOnews.com, December 20 (Xinhua)-- Apple announced that its Apple Royal Hawaiian retail store in Honolulu, Hawaii will be closed permanently in January 2024. The store, which opened in September 2008, is one of three Apple stores in Honolulu.

CTOnews.com noted that the news was first reported by local news media Island News last month. It is reported that the store will be officially closed on January 20, 2024.

Apple said it "regularly reviews its retail network to ensure that it provides the best support to its customers". Apple Royal Hawaiian's 57 full-time and part-time employees will be offered the opportunity to work at Apple Kahala and Apple Ala Moana, the company's two other retail stores in Honolulu.

Apple Royal Hawaiian is Apple's third and most unique retail store in Hawaii. The store has an outdoor dark stone facade (possibly volcanic rock) and an unusual island in the center of the store with counters and graphic panels. Apple Royal Hawaiian's unique design makes it one of the most popular tourist attractions in Hawaii.
