Officials also said that the total volume and revenue of telecom services in Qinghai province showed a rapid growth trend, with the total growth rate of telecom services reaching 21.65% in the first 10 months of this year compared with the same period last year, ranking second in the country.

According to public data, the national Internet backbone direct connection point in Xining was officially approved on January 4 this year, and the project was put into trial operation on August 22.

On October 22, 2013, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology added seven national Internet backbone direct connection sites, including Chengdu, Wuhan, Xi'an, Shenyang, Nanjing, Chongqing and Zhengzhou, in addition to the three national Internet backbone direct links in Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou. After that, national Internet backbone direct connection points such as Hangzhou, Guiyang, Fuzhou, Hohhot, Nanning, Taiyuan, Nanchang, Jinan, Qingdao, Harbin, Changsha, Kunming, Xining and Hefei have been added one after another.
