The meeting stressed that at present, China's photovoltaic industry has entered a new stage of high-quality development, and strengthening the construction and protection of intellectual property rights in the modern photovoltaic industry is of great significance to encourage technological innovation of advanced enterprises and enhance the core competitiveness of the industry. The whole industry should forge consensus and work together to continuously improve the awareness and working level of photovoltaic intellectual property protection, and promote China's photovoltaic industry to move forward to a global innovation center.

Under the guidance of the Electronic Information Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the China Photovoltaic Industry Association has launched preparations for the establishment of a photovoltaic intellectual property rights special committee since the end of 2022, and the relevant preparatory work has been basically completed recently and plans to formally announce the establishment of the special committee within this year.

According to the statistics of the National Energy Administration, by the end of September this year, the cumulative installed capacity of household distributed photovoltaic in China exceeded 100 million kilowatts, reaching 105 million kilowatts, helping to push the total installed capacity of photovoltaic power generation in China to more than 500 million kilowatts, reaching 520 million kilowatts. According to statistics, at present, the cumulative number of household distributed photovoltaic installations in rural areas has exceeded 5 million, driving effective investment of more than 500 billion yuan.
