CTOnews.com news on December 14, although overclocking CPU can find higher performance, but also brings more hidden dangers, and excessive overclocking may lead to CPU damage, and overclocking can lead to CPU damage is not warranty. However, officials generally do not specifically check to see if this is the case, because neither AMD nor Intel can prove that the user is "damaged because of overclocking", so it is a gentleman's agreement.

AMD now confirms that there is a hidden register in Ryzen Threadripper 7000 that will automatically fuse when you turn on the overclocking mode (including CTOnews.com, voltage or memory frequency and timing), thus proving that the CPU has been overclocked.

Previously, some users worried that once they turned on the overclocking mode, it would mean that no matter what caused the CPU damage, they could no longer be guaranteed. Facts have proved that there is no need to worry about this.

AMD confirmed to Tom's Hardware that turning on overclocking mode does not mean that the warranty is invalid. According to the AMD terms of sale, there is no warranty for processor damage due to overclocking, but warranty / replacement is optional for damage caused by other issues not related to overclocking.

So, if you have a Ryzen Threadripper 7000 processor, you can safely overclock; just be careful not to cause damage.
