In October 2023, 29.162 million mobile phones were shipped in the domestic market, an increase of 19.7 percent over the same period last year, of which 26.435 million 5G phones were up 35.5 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 90.6 percent of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

Overall situation of the domestic mobile phone market from January to October 2023, total mobile phone shipments in the domestic market totaled 230 million units, an increase of 4.2% over the same period last year, of which 188 million 5G mobile phones were shipped, an increase of 8.9% over the same period last year, accounting for 81.9% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

In October 2023, 50 new models of mobile phones were launched in China, an increase of 51.5% over the same period last year, of which 31 were 5G phones, an increase of 55.0% over the same period last year, accounting for 62.0% of the number of new models on the market in the same period.

From January to October 2023, there were a total of 385 new models on the market, an increase of 13.9 percent over the same period last year, including 184 5G mobile phones, an increase of 4.5 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 47.8 percent of the number of new mobile phones on the market in the same period.

According to the report disclosed by ▲ China Information and Communication Institute, domestic and foreign brands in the domestic mobile phone market made up 18.013 million mobile phones in October 2023, an increase of 7.2% over the same period last year, accounting for 61.8% of the total mobile phone shipments in the same period. 49 new models were listed, up 63.3% from the same period last year, accounting for 98.0% of the number of new mobile phones on the market in the same period.

From January to October 2023, domestic brand mobile phone shipments totaled 181 million units, down 2.9% from the same period last year, accounting for 78.9% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; a total of 356 new models were on the market, up 15.6% from the same period last year, accounting for 92.5% of the number of new models on the market in the same period.

In October 2023, 28.181 million smartphones were shipped, an increase of 18.5 percent over the same period last year, accounting for 96.6 percent of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

From January to October 2023, smartphone shipments were 220 million units, an increase of 2.4% over the same period last year, accounting for 95.7% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.

In October 2023, 36 new models of smartphones were launched, an increase of 50.0% over the same period last year, accounting for 72.0% of the number of new models on the market in the same period.

From January to October 2023, a total of 315 new models of smartphones were launched, an increase of 12.1% over the same period last year, accounting for 81.8% of the number of new models on the market in the same period.
