CTOnews.com, December 12, Microsoft Edge's current usage feature is to automatically close the entire browser after the user closes all tabs.

According to source @ Leopeva64, Microsoft is testing new Edge features. In the latest Canary channel version, users close all tabs, don't close browsers, and open new tabs.

This feature will be available as an option for users to choose from, and when enabled, users can close the browser by clicking the "X" button in the upper right corner.

CTOnews.com Note: this is not the first time this approach has emerged, and Chromium-based Opera browsers already offer options.

Firefox browsers provide a similar function. Users can open the about:config page, find browser.tabs.closeWindowWithLastTab, and set it to false.

It is reported that, unlike Firefox, Edge will provide users with a simple toggle switch in the browser settings to turn the feature on or off.
