The 12.6-inch driver dashboard supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and has built-in navigation functions.

The 10.9-inch central touch screen is equipped with the latest Porsche technology.

The 10.9-inch optional passenger display can control entertainment and navigation settings, browse media or play video.

It is worth mentioning that the new car will also be equipped with a head-up display that supports augmented reality technology, which can virtually overlay navigation arrows, driver assistance system warnings and other information on the road.

Like Tesla, new cars can also play racing games when they are recharged. But unlike Tesla, he does not use the steering wheel to control the virtual car.

Macan EV will share its PPE architecture with Audi Q6 E-tron of the same size and is scheduled for delivery in 2024. The car was originally scheduled to launch in 2023, but was delayed due to difficulties in the development of Cariad, Volkswagen's software division.

The appearance of the SUV is slightly different from the fuel version that will be sold side by side, with the main change being a more angular design, replacing the current Macan's more square design. This also makes the shape of the headlights more sharp, and the daytime driving lights in front of them are replaced by two groups of double round lights.

The new car will be equipped with a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with a total power of up to 603 horsepower and a peak torque exceeding the 738lb ft. The front and rear weight of the body is distributed by 48% and 52%, and is equipped with wider rear wheels and performance rear axles to enhance grip and handling.

The new car will also be equipped with Porsche's two-stage damper for the first time, which can independently adjust the softness and hardness of the suspension according to driving mode and road conditions, thus improving ride comfort. In addition, the new car will also be equipped with a rear wheel steering system to further enhance handling flexibility.

In terms of battery life, the Macan EV will be equipped with 100kWh's lithium-ion battery pack with an 800V architecture to support charging power up to more than 270kW. Although Porsche does not give official mileage, it is expected to rival the 314-mile (CTOnews.com note: about 505.33 km) Taycan.

The Macan EV is an important model in Porsche's electric offensive in the coming years, followed by the 718 Boxster EV (2025), the Cayenne EV (2025) and the Panamera EV (2026). Porsche aims to account for 50 per cent of its global sales by 2025 and 80 per cent by 2030.
