Microsoft opened a discussion post on GitHub to solicit opinions on whether Windows should reinstall a CLI text editor feature.
The 32-bit version of Windows comes with its own editor, but 64-bit systems do not install CLI editors by default, but considering that the tool is one of the core needs of system administrators, developers, and advanced users, Microsoft wants users to give their own views on this issue.
Microsoft says there are countless cross-platform CLI editors available today, and each has its own strengths and weaknesses.
