In the latest announcement of Road Motor vehicle production Enterprises and products (batch 378) announced by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, there are two enterprises, "Light Beam Automobile Co., Ltd." and "Weilai Automobile Technology (Anhui) Co., Ltd." in the list of new vehicle production enterprises. the remarks are "new pure electric passenger vehicle manufacturing enterprises".

To put it simply, entering the list of new vehicle manufacturing enterprises to be released means that the enterprise has passed the examination of the relevant departments and will obtain the relevant production qualifications after passing the publicity period.

According to public data, the beam automobile production plant project was officially launched in Zhangjiagang on November 29, 2019, with an annual standard production capacity of 160000 vehicles. According to the plan, the products of Beam Automobile will enter the respective sales and service networks of BMW Group and Great Wall Motor respectively by brand.

In October this year, the new domestic Mini pure electric model was officially put into production at the beam car factory. The car will be launched and supplied to the global market in 2024, and the first SOP models are for export only. Beam's Zhangjiagang plant will be the main production base for the next-generation Mini. In addition to producing the new Mini Cooper, there is also a Mini compact crossover.

The new car is the high-equipped SE version of the new generation of MINI COOPER, equipped with a front single motor, the maximum power and torque are respectively 160kW, 330 N ·m, zero acceleration 6.7 seconds, battery capacity 54.2 kWhWLTP pure electric range of 402km. In addition, the new car supports 11kW AC slow charge and 95kW DC fast charge.

The next-generation all-electric MINI is planned to include a three-door MINI Cooper and a compact crossover. The two new cars have almost been put into production at the beam automobile factory and are available to the domestic and international markets. In terms of specific time, domestic MINI pure electric models will be exported to overseas markets in 2024.

In September, BMW unveiled 2025 pure electric models, the MINI Cooper E and SE, at the launch of its new products at the Munich auto show.
