At the end of last month, Musk responded arrogantly, saying that if platform X failed, these advertisers would be the culprits, and hinted that users would boycott them in turn.

The Wall Street Journal quoted people familiar with the matter as saying that X seems to have found a way to control the losses. X is said to be in talks with e-commerce giant Amazon to integrate ads from the X platform into Amazon's ad-buying software.

In this way, Amazon's small and medium-sized merchants or enterprises can purchase X advertising services directly through Amazon and display their products on X. At present, the cooperation is still in the early stage of discussion and there is still the possibility of failure. Neither X nor Amazon could be reached for comment.

In addition, the Financial Times reported last week that X was actively adjusting its strategy to absorb more small and medium-sized enterprises in an attempt to offset the loss of revenue caused by the departure of large advertisers.

Of course, the X platform has been attracting small and medium-sized enterprises, but is now putting it on a priority level after Apple and Disney stopped advertising.

A former X advertising sales executive says it is a big challenge for X to attract a small and medium-sized brand market, which currently relies on complex self-service advertising buying tools that allow business owners who do not understand advertising to easily target suitable potential customers.

The former executive added that the shift would be difficult because X lags behind competitors such as Meta, Google and TikTok in advertising and lacks a historical commitment to "committed to building a world-class advertising platform".

The report also points out that friends and former colleagues of X CEO Linda Yaccarino are persuading her to quit, trying to persuade her to resign to protect her reputation.
